Happy Resurrection Day!

Hola Amigos! We hope you all had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday. We got to fellowship with the local church in the town of Alamos on Sunday morning. Madeline was thrilled to get to sing about God's "Reckless Love" after the service for everyone. And then we were super surprised and blessed to end up hosting their after-church Easter party at our place, lol! What a beautiful group of believers, and what a treat to get to know more of our Family in Christ.

And guess who is one of those beautiful believers I was so surprised to run into on Sunday??? The judge's secretary who helped us do all of the paperwork for Eli's adoption! She recognized us 19 years later, despite my wrinkles and Eli's mustache, haha! It was fitting that it was on Easter that I got to hug her and thank her for the new life she helped Eli receive.

We've been helping Eli's birth mom, Mama Goya, who apparently broke her foot 2 months ago, but never went to the doctor. She's in a lot of pain, and the doctor seems to think that physical therapy will solve that for her. Thanks to generous friends, we arranged for her to receive daily PT in her home, since she has no way to get to the clinic (we live too far to take her every day). We get to see her about once a week, and it's been so special to see her and Eli together. She told me she's been listening to the audio Bible we brought her last time we came. :)

We started our weekly VBS outreach to the village of Mocuzarit, and we had so many kids come out! Probably because they announced our first visit on the town loudspeaker, haha. We played games, taught on who God is and WHY Jesus died on the cross, did crafts, and ate treats. We were also given a projector to be able to show the Chosen series so the adults in Mocuzarit who won't go to a Bible study can learn of Christ's love in a different way. Pray that they will be emboldened to come see the movies, as they tend to be very timid.

We love you all and thank God for your prayers and support and encouragment. Dios les bendiga!
